Calling all beginner and intermediate shredders! 🤙 Don't miss your chance to conquer the closed-off Bridge Valley Road with us. Limited spots for lessons taught by seasoned skaters, followed by a pump track session at Brunel Way before heading to Ashton Court for a slide jam open to all.

About the event
This gathering celebrates the temporary closure of Bridge Valley Road during the marathon and offers us the chance to skate a dreamy spot hardly ever accessible and great for learning to slide!

🕘 Time: 9:00 AM onwards
📍 Location: Bridge Valley Road, Brunel Way Pump Track, Ashton Court
This event offers a secure environment for experimenting with sliding or refining your current skills, all at an amazing location not typically available for skating. The goal is to help more beginners feel the awesome-ness that is freeride & downhill.
9AM - 12PM: Beginner and Intermediate lessons on Bridge Valley Road.
There will be lessons for Adults and Kids with limited spots of 5 people per class which you can book in advance. These will be taught by experienced skaters. All income from classes pays your sliding teachers kindly giving their time to support the whole day.
Lessons will take place at this pin spot https://maps.app.goo.gl/dNJrB8aCobeTGiNU9 and will finish by 12.30.
*Bridge Valley Road is of course open for everyone so if you aren't coming for lessons we of course can't stop you from skating (& we wouldn't want to), we just ask that you respect people trying to learn (we've all been beginners at some point 🙃).

If you are driving, park in McAdam Way car park and skate across the Ashton Ave Bridge.
